Kevin, the founder of Marriage Partners Ministry, came to us looking for a logo design. His goals were to be able to present himself as a professional and communicate a clear message with the visual aspect of his brand. Ultimately we created a complete branding package that helps him accomplish his goals with every visual element of his brand — not just the logo.
Kevin was preparing to speak at a seminar and he wanted to have a logo and website that was professional. He went to Rebecca Metz at Web Pages That Sell for a website, and she, in turn, referred him to Inspired Creative for visual branding. At first he simply asked us to design a logo that would communicate something memorable about himself and his brand. However, since there are so many ways to communicate visually beyond a simple logo, we do complete branding package, setting up our clients for success. This package would help Kevin communicate a cohesive message through every visual element of his brand, from the details of his business card to the photos on his website.
The branding package we created for Kevin makes it easy for him to present himself as a professional and communicate his brand’s message accurately, both in person and online.
We want our clients to benefit from the work they hire us to do, so we make it easy to implement the branding we create. For example, we include printing with every business card we design so that clients don’t have to worry about an extra step. When Kevin received his branding package, he also received a stack of business cards, ready for him to hand out at the first opportunity.
The business cards provide an inexpensive way for him to make a good first impression. Details like soft, rounded corners subtly encourage the recipient to associate Marriage Partners Ministry with emotional connection. The important information about who Kevin is and what he does points his potential clients to the Marriage Partners Ministry website, which exhibits the same attention to detail as the business cards.
The branding package we created for Kevin includes guidelines that ensure that every visual element of the brand communicates a cohesive message. For example, we provided photo inspiration that centered around couples connecting with each other in real-life contexts, as opposed to clichéd romantic stock photos. Our goal was to make the relationships feel real and lasting, not limited to a candle-lit moment. We want the people who see the images to think, “I want us to have that kind of connection again.”
We did, of course, create a logo as a part of the package. It reflects the same message of connectedness that every other element of the package communicates.
Kevin came to us with a particular concept for his logo. This initial concept didn’t actually reflect what he wanted to communicate, so we designed a new logo for Marriage Partners Ministry. Instead of fulfilling his initial vision, we focused on providing him with something better that accomplished his goals. Now everything about his brand accurately reflects who he is and what he wants to communicate.
